Youth IMPACT is back! 

Join us each Wed. night for worship and fun! 

Starts back on Aug. 17th and is open to all Youth from 6th grade through 12th grade.

Dinner is $3 a night 

Youth Band starts is 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Youth Group is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

We will start training classes for Stephen Ministers very soon. Anyone interested in becoming a Stephen Minister will need to fill out an application and be interviewed. Youth come together for dinner, worship, small groups, and fun from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dinner is $3.00 per student. Wednesday night Impact the 3rd floor of Hamilton Building in Powerhouse.

FAMILY MINISTRIES

PARENTS CONNECT GROUP
Connect group for parents of children and youth. Meets on Sunday mornings at 10:10 a.m. on the 3rd floor of the Hamilton Building, across the hallway from the Powerhouse.

Every Fifth Sunday is Fun Family Sunday during the Sunday School hour 10:10 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. Children, youth, and parents, will come together to have some fun and fellowship. There will be games with prizes to win, so bring your best competition hat and be ready for lots of fun.

FAITH LESSONS

Join this women’s group held monthly on Mondays as they begin their new study. LADIES WHO LOVE THE LORD BIBLE STUDY (L*L*L)
Will be on break for the month of June and August. Starting July 7th for four weeks, Beth Fernandez will facilitate a class called "Biblical Animals." This class looks at how the world is a virtual zoo of animals God created that can have life lessons for us as we see in their behavior our behavior.

THRIFT MALL

The Thrift Store will be open every Wednesday and Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Donations are being accepted. We are doing limited pickups by schedule only, sorry no deliveries at this time.

Three ways to drop off donations

    • small items can be left on the shelves located on the southeast side of the thrift store during off-store days.  There is a sign that says “Donations” 
    • small & large items can be dropped off on store days between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  We will have lifters available to help unload items from vehicles
    • dropping off large items on off store days, please email V Brunson to schedule a time to drop off on an off store day.

"Justice is what love looks like in public" Public Policy & Witness Team Update

It is not surprising to hear about the church bearing witness to the love of God in Jesus Christ by feeding the hungry, housing the houseless, visiting those in prison, and providing disaster relief.

It is more complex, and perhaps surprising for some to hear about the church’s involvement with public policymakers (i.e. politicians) who possess the power to decide, in the words of the late American political scientist Dr. Harold Laswell, “Who gets what, when, how.” Is this an act of love for the church to be so politically engaged? READ MORE >

Basic Anti-Racism Training for Building Beloved Community

The Florida Conference Anti-racism Training and Accountability Team has designed this training to educate, support, and develop leaders among Florida United Methodist clergy and laity to build beloved community wherever they live.

The goals for our training will be to:

    • Provide a basic approach for anti-oppression work in general and anti-racism work in particular that can be practiced every day
    • Provide practical process and content, to dismantle racism and other forms of oppression, while building beloved community where power differences are recognized, understood, appreciated and included.
