Recreation

two hands shakingFamily, Fitness and Fun

The Recreation Ministry provides for recreation and fellowship opportunities for all ages in the church and community for basketball, tennis, volleyball, game nights, etc. Sports and camps for children are instructional in nature and offer an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of a sport in a Christian environment.

Our mission, as part of the United Methodist Church, is to provide children with the opportunity to learn basic skills in a variety of sports, while teaching them good sportsmanship, positive attitude and the importance of having fun, within a loving and Christian environment.

Children and Youth Sports Team

Pasadena Community Church’s youth sports teams program is a Christian-based, non-competitive league. Players are taught fundamental skills during weekly practices and have the chance to demonstrate the skills learned in a weekly game against another team. We begin each practice and game with a prayer and will share prayer concerns and praises with one another. Our program consists of players ranging from first grade through twelfth grade.

Our Goals

  • To teach good sportsmanship
  • To teach the importance of teamwork, while growing individuals’ skills
  • To instill a good sense of moral behaviors
  • To teach the importance of showing respect to coaches, as well as peers
  • To have fun!

What Makes us Different?

As members of the United Methodist Church, we strive to provide your children with a unique opportunity, unlike other recreation programs. We will not only teach them the basic skills, but our goal is to also teach them the importance of good sportsmanship and respect for their coaches as well as their teammates.

We will strive for your child to have fun at the same time as learning.
