Pasadena Community Church is a big congregation, but when it comes to caring for our members and friends who are sick, hospitalized, or need a face-to-face visit from a friendly face, we are there to help.
Make sure to call us. Due to HIPAA laws, hospitals and medical facilities no longer give churches access to patient lists even though hospitals may ask the patient for this information. Your call may be our only way PCC knows about the situation.
Our Visitation Team consists of the following:
- Pastor Nicole Logan
- Director of Congregational Care: Barbara Posey
- Parish Nurses
- Stephen Ministers
- Visitation Team Members
- Others as appropriate
The above visitors have had specialized training and screening. Let us know ahead of time if you would like to have Holy Communion.
Visits will be coordinated by Barbara Posey, Director of Congregational Care.
PCC Congregational Care team visits:
- Nursing Homes
- Assisted Living Facilities
or to individuals in their own:
Our Intercessory Prayer Ministry compiles the prayers into a list to be prayed over in the Wednesday Morning Chapel Service. This service is held each week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in Goodwin Chapel. Our Prayer Warriors who are not able to attend the Wednesday service receive the list via e-mail or postal service and pray, along with the others, all week for our church and for the people whose prayer concerns were turned in.
We invite you to join us and/or to submit your prayer requests:
- use the prayer request form
- drop a prayer request card into the offering plate Sunday mornings
- drop a prayer request card by the church office
- submit a prayer request online
Please protect your privacy and that of others. Share only information you and/or they are comfortable with others knowing. Remember, God knows all the details surrounding your request.
If you need to report a church member or attendee who is in the hospital or needs a visit please call the church office at 727.381.2499 in addition to putting in a prayer request.
Pasadena Community Church is lucky to have two members, Virginia Spencer and Anne McDaniel who serve as our “parish nurses.” These two highly experienced and BayCare Health Systems, St. Anthony Hospital certified R.N.s offer free blood pressure screenings at 2:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. The Parish Nurses will also be happy to talk with you about medications and other health-related issues that you or loved ones face.
Our parish nurses also will present occasional workshops on everything from preventive care to nutrition.
Feel free to call Virginia 727.397.5879

Divorce Care is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone.
If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. Grief can be a confusing time when you may feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Grief Care will help you meet these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
If you are interested in attending one of these support groups, contact Barbara Posey at email@example.com or 727-381-2499, Ext. 214.
Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. (LEC Conference Room C)
Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. (LEC Conference Room C)
Our focus is primarily directed toward those caring for a parent, spouse, or loved one as they show signs of needing more “care” due to dementia-related diseases. However, if you are caring for an adult with a non-dementia illness you may also find benefit in attending one of our support groups.
Both groups are open to the public and provide a confidential setting for those attending to share their experiences, joys, and concerns of “caregiving” with others in like situations.
Prayer Requests – We want your prayer requests! Care ministry compiles a list each week of prayers and distributes to our Prayer Warriors. There are three ways to contact us on email or call 727.381.2499 ext. 214 Barbara Posey. A written request can be dropped into our dropbox under the portico of the LEC Building (Life enrichment Center 227 70th St. So, St. Petersburg, FL).
