C.I.A. Care In Action

CIA (Care In Action) is a ministry collaboration between our Congregational Care and Hospitality Ministries. Our CIA mission is to reach the Pasadena Community Church family and show them in traditional and new, creative ways how much they are loved and cared for by God and our church family.

We are so grateful for our teams of individuals who continue to make telephone calls, write personalized cards, and prepare various selections from our kitchen to show our love to those individuals in our church who need a bit of support or cheering up.

If you or someone you know would benefit from this type ministry or to volunteer, please contact Barbara Posey by email or phone 727.381.2499 ext. 214.

Stephen Ministries

Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, etc.

Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life, and they all share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need.

The training consists of an application process and when selected to commit to attend the training course and to follow the Stephen Ministry guidelines. Our next training will be held in the fall of 2023.

Caregivers Support

Caregivers Support Group

We meet on Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and/or Wednesdays mornings from 9:30am to 10:30am. We meet every week in person in our Life Enrichment Center (LEC) Conf. 3 and we have an option to attend via conference call if that is best for the caregiver.

The person being cared for may be a relative or just a good friend. It is not required that the individual reside in in the same house, or even live in the same state.

Our focus is primarily directed toward those caring for a parent, spouse or loved one who is showing signs of a dementia related disease. However, if you are caring for an adult with a non-dementia illness you may find our group to be beneficial.

For more information please contact Barbara Posey by email or phone at 727.381.2499 ext. 214

Upper Room Devotionals

UPPER ROOMS are available to be purchased in the Sanctuary and our Church office.

Each Upper Room magazine contains daily devotions for a two-month time frame: Jan/Feb; Mar/Apr; May/June; July/Aug; Sept/Oct and Nov/Dec. To help cover the cost of your Upper Room we ask that, if you are able, you contribute $1.00 for a regular print edition and $2.00 for a large print edition.

Please consider joining our “Upper Room Gathering” on Wednesdays from 3:00pm to 4:00pm via conference call. This is a wonderful way to study and enjoy a small group without having to leave the comfort of your home!

For more information, please contact Barbara Posey by email or phone at 727.381.2499 ext. 214.
