Church Family Movie Night: Black Panther!

February 25 @ 6:30 pm - 8:45 pm

Pasadena Community Church will host a showing of “Black Panther” on Friday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate Black History Month. “Black Panther” is a 2018 superhero film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe set in the fictional African country of Wakanda. It was the fifth highest-grossing Marvel movie of all time and the first big budget superhero movie with a Black superhero, director, and majority Black cast.
It will be outside on the Basketball Court/Lawn of the Preschool, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Popcorn will be provided, but feel free to bring your own dinner and/or favorite movie snacks! We hope to see you there!

Note to parents of small children—

Although superhero movies might spark the interest of your kids, you’re right to wonder if everything in it will be appropriate for how old they are. Fortunately, we can confirm that Black Panther is a beautiful, diverse, and funny movie that you should definitely watch with your children if you feel they’re old enough – it has an official PG-13 rating “for prolonged sequences of action violence and a brief rude gesture.” If you have not seen the film and want to know exactly what issues you might run into with a little one, however, head to these websites for the things that might be a bit too much for kids on the younger side.
