Wednesday Night Class Offerings
January 4th—February 8th
Quilting: 3:00
pm, LEC 2B-C, Lin Logan, Facilitator. This class will be making
a quilt called "Turning Twenty". Anyone interested
needs to purchase 20 fat quarters to bring to class along with
a rotary cutter and mat. Contact Lin Logan at 381-1125 for more
information.
“The Re-enchantment of Everyday
Life”: 4:30 pm, LEC 2A, Dr. Harold Wahking,
Facilitator. Participants of this class will work on becoming
more spiritually sensitive to the work of the Holy Spirit in
them and around them.
Short Stories: 6:30 pm, LEC 2A Judy & Bill Anderson, Facilitators.
This popular class will again offer short stories to be read
a week ahead of time and then discussed by participants. Pick
up the first story at the Reception Desk during church office
hours.
Introduction to the Old Testament:
6:30 pm, LEC 2B, Megan Knighton, Facilitator. The Bible study
that transforms and informs. This short-term Disciple Bible
study approaches the study of the Hebrew Scriptures by inviting
participants to hear the story of God and God's calling of the
people of Israel through the many "voices" of the
biblical text. Participant workbook cost is $10.00.
Bridge: 6:30 pm,
LEC 1A-B, Harry Linkin, Facilitator. This is a very popular
intermediate class. Stimulate your brain while having fun with
a game of Rubber Bridge. Please contact Harry Linkin after December
30th at 548-0041 if you are interested in joining.
Christian Living: 6:30
pm, LEC Library, Dorothy & Wayne Smithey, Facilitators.
A small group study that started last spring will continue the
exploration of spiritual practices. New members are encouraged
to join.
Conversational Spanish:
6:30 pm, LEC 3A, Brenda Sepluveda, Facilitator. Our own Brenda
will be leading this class of beginners who want to learn and
enjoy the basics of speaking and understanding Spanish.
Talkback to: Confronting the Controversies:
6:30 pm, LEC 3B-C, Various Facilitators. This class will reflect
on the Sunday sermon series with one of the Pastors.

Talking About the Controversies: New Class beginning January
8th!,
LEC 2B, Facilitated by Barbara Wahking. This class (targeted
at 18-30 year olds) will be a discussion of the January-February
Sermon Series, “Confronting the Controversies.”
Dr. Bayly Fellowship:
LEC 1A. Dr. Bob Beyer is leading this class in studying the
Book of Acts using the International Bible Lessons.
Family Forum:
LEC 3B-C, Parents of children, Kindergarten through 6th Grade,
Family Forum discussion group will begin a study about helping
school kids cope with the public debate about evolution and
intelligent design. We hope to help them appreciate objective
science and God’s spiritual revelations to us.
Horns & Halos:
Hamilton Auditorium. Currently discussing the Mysteries of
the Bible.
Faith Lessons:
LEC 1C, Led by Ramanuja Kannan and Bill Horobec.
New Beginnings: LEC

Family Forum class through year end.

LEC 2C, Parents of youth in grades 7-12. Join us for a topical
and lively discussion!
