Wheelchair Ramp Ministry
Why does this Ministry exist?
To build Wheelchair ramps for those in our church and community who otherwise would not be able to have a ramp at their home so that they can get in and out to go to doctor’s appointments, attend worship and other activities.
Serve on a team to go out and construct ramps, primarily at individual’s homes. Or, if you do not enjoy construction work you can support to the team by providing lunch for those working.
(Some tasks require specific training and/or a background check.)

The time needed varies. Each ramp is custom built and varies in complexity and the time required building it. At the present time we have approximately one request every 10 days and not every member of the team is needed for every project.
What gifts, skills and talents do I need?
Some knowledge of building is helpful; our “Hammering Angels” are under the direction of our Chairperson who assigns the various building tasks needed for each project. Providing lunch would require the gift of hospitality and ability to provide and deliver lunch to the jobsite by coordinating with the Committee Chairperson.
